In this role, you’ll work hands-on with GCP, Azure, and Microsoft Fabric, designing and supporting data pipelines that enable analytics, AI, and smarter decision-making across the organization. Your Role & Responsibilities
- Assemble and optimize large, complex datasets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements
- Design, build, and maintain batch and near–real-time data pipelines for structured and unstructured data
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot advanced SQL queries for data mining and analytics use cases
- Develop and maintain data transformations using SQL and Python
- Support data ingestion, integration, messaging, CI/CD, and processing services in cloud environments
- Apply data modeling best practices and optimize cloud data warehouses (e.g., partitioning and clustering in BigQuery)
- Use Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to support automated provisioning and configuration
- Perform data profiling, quality checks, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for data pipelines and platforms
- Collaborate in an iterative, product-focused environment with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders
Skills & Experience You Should Possess
- Strong experience with SQL and complex query development across large datasets
- Hands-on experience with Python for data processing and transformations
- Experience building and supporting data pipelines in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Solid understanding of ETL concepts, data modeling, and data quality practices
- Experience supporting cloud-based analytics or data platforms
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into data solutions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to concurrent projects
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Microsoft Fabric
- Hands-on use of Terraform or other IaC tools
- Experience with BigQuery performance tuning (partitioning, clustering)
- Background supporting analytics, AI, or data science workloads
- Familiarity with data profiling or exploration tools (Rapid SQL, AQT, Informatica, Information Analyzer)
Education & Certifications You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
OR - Associate’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience
