Shape the future of credit and lending data strategy with enterprise‑wide impact. Trissential is partnering with our client to find a senior‑level Data Strategy & Governance Lead who thrives at the intersection of data strategy, platform architecture, and multi‑phase execution. If you're energized by defining data’s strategic direction and influencing senior stakeholders across business, technology, and governance — this role puts you at the center of major financial transformation.

This is not a tactical analyst role — it’s a strategic, client‑facing leadership opportunity where you’ll own outcomes, guide senior analysts, and steer a complex financial ecosystem toward its target data future.

What’s in It for You?

• Lead enterprise‑scale credit and lending data strategy that directly impacts risk management, customer insights, operational decision‑making, and long‑term transformation
• Act as the primary strategic advisor to senior executives, technology leaders, and governance stakeholders
• Guide the development of modern data platforms, domain models, and governance frameworks
• Influence multi‑phase data initiatives from strategy through execution while directing senior analysts rather than replacing them
• Operate with high visibility, autonomy, and ownership within a regulated financial services environment
• Shape a multi‑location strategy and ensure alignment across enterprise data teams

Your Role & Responsibilities

In this strategic leadership position, you will:

Strategy Execution & Leadership
• Own and drive the refinement and execution of the approved enterprise data roadmap
• Lead domain model expansion, platform alignment, and governance integration for credit and lending
• Serve as the escalation point for design, sequencing, architectural, and strategic decisions
• Ensure continuity and alignment across multiple client locations and workstreams

Leadership of Senior Data Analysts
• Translate enterprise strategy into actionable workstreams for a team of senior analysts
• Review, approve, and guide analyst deliverables for quality, rigor, and architectural consistency
• Mentor analysts in data modeling excellence and executive‑ready communication
• Ensure all analyst outputs support platform, domain, and enterprise architecture strategy

Stakeholder & Executive Engagement
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior business, data, technology, and governance leaders
• Facilitate working sessions, roadmap discussions, and design decision forums
• Communicate complex data, modeling, and platform concepts to non‑technical audiences
• Align business, analytics, engineering, and governance partners toward shared outcomes

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

• 12+ years in data strategy, analytics, or enterprise transformation
• Proven leadership of large‑scale, enterprise‑level data and platform initiatives
• Deep experience with data modeling, governance, and analytics enablement
• Strong communication and facilitation skills, especially with senior executives
• Experience working in regulated financial services environments, ideally within credit or lending

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Knowledge of global credit and lending processes, regulations, and oversight frameworks
• Hands‑on experience with cloud‑based data platforms or modern data ecosystems
• Experience with metadata management, operating models, or data literacy initiatives
• Consulting background with enterprise data strategy or governance engagements

Education & Certifications You Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, Computer Science, Analytics, or related field
• Data governance, data architecture, or analytics certifications are beneficial but not required
