Your Role & Responsibilities
SAP S/4HANA Transportation Workstream Leadership
- Lead the transportation-focused workstream within the global SAP S/4HANA OTC value stream
- Manage scope, timelines, planning, and alignment across functional teams
- Drive the design, build, testing, and deployment of transportation processes within S/4HANA and adjacent systems
- Ensure transportation workflows align to the global S/4 template and overall solution architecture
- Oversee transportation data, events, and integration points across order, inventory, billing, and finance processes
Business Process Design & Integration
- Facilitate global workshops on routing, tendering, multimodal transportation, shipment visibility, and carrier management
- Translate operational workflows into SAP S/4 configuration, integration requirements, and functional specifications
- Lead end-to-end integration efforts between SAP S/4, TMS platforms, carriers, and warehouse/distribution operations
- Assess regional and business unit impacts of process and solution design decisions
Transportation Operations & Carrier Coordination
- Act as the main liaison between transportation operations, supply chain leadership, and external carriers across rail, OTR, intermodal, and last-mile networks
- Guide alignment of operational logistics practices to SAP S/4 functionality
- Identify and manage carrier integration needs (EDI, API, freight settlement, event visibility)
Crossdock & Rail Distribution Program Integration
- Lead SAP-related components for rail-to-crossdock-to-last-mile logistics models
- Ensure crossdock operations and related enhancements align with S/4HANA standards
- Partner with engineering, operations, and IT to resolve system/process gaps
Global Standardization & Template Governance
- Identify regional variances and drive standardization of transportation processes globally
- Support fit-to-standard evaluation and global/local design decision-making
- Escalate and resolve transportation-related design conflicts within program governance
Testing, Cutover & Deployment
- Oversee transportation scenario coverage across SIT, UAT, regression, and performance testing cycles
- Validate integration readiness, data accuracy, and operational preparedness for cutover
- Support transportation hypercare activities following regional or global deployments
Risk, Issue & Change Management
- Identify risks related to carrier integrations, data dependencies, or operational readiness
- Drive timely issue resolution across cross-functional teams
- Communicate updates, impacts, and decisions to leadership and stakeholders
Skills & Experience You Should Possess
- 10+ years of project or program management experience within transportation, supply chain, or logistics
- Experience leading workstreams in SAP S/4HANA or large-scale ERP transformations
- Strong understanding of transportation processes including routing, tendering, crossdock operations, rail/OTR logistics, freight settlement, and shipment visibility
- Experience working with TMS platforms and integrations (EDI, API, event visibility tools)
- Ability to influence and align cross-functional teams across global environments
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience supporting multi-region ERP deployments
- Exposure to global supply chain transformation or network design
- Familiarity with freight audit tools, carrier platforms, or transportation event visibility systems
- Experience collaborating with 3PLs, carriers, or multimodal logistics providers
Education & Certifications You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, IT, or a related discipline
- PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or SAP certifications preferred but not required

- Competitive Compensation – You choose the model that works best for you, both with company-sponsored benefits! $156,000–$172,000 annually or $88–$98 per hour, depending on your skills, experience, and location. Final compensation is determined based on skill alignment, years of experience, and fair, market-based rates by geography.
