Your Role & Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Oracle and SQLServer databases, ensuring optimal performance and business continuity.
- Perform database backup, recovery, and performance tuning across multiple platforms.
- Consult with IT and business teams to implement sound data management practices.
- Drive adoption of standard tools and improve data integrity across the organization.
- Provide technical expertise in data governance, architecture, and analytics.
Skills & Experience You Should Possess
- 8+ years of experience in database administration (Oracle and SQLServer).
- Expertise in backup/recovery, performance tuning, and high availability solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with distributed computing, data visualization, and predictive modeling.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and BI reporting solutions.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
- SQLServer clustering and AlwaysOn Failover Cluster experience.
- Proficiency in T-SQL, PL/SQL, Shell scripting, and PowerShell.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL administration.
- SSIS package development and database replication technologies.
Education & Certifications You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications in Oracle or SQLServer administration are a plus.
