Your Role & Responsibilities
- Lead CJIS domain analysis for LEIN and ALIAS systems, identifying architecture, data flow, and compliance gaps
- Advise business process and IT teams on CJIS Security Policy and modernization requirements
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and readiness assessments, translating findings into actionable recommendations
- Contribute to Phase Zero deliverables including current-state analysis, gap report, and modernization roadmap
- Develop security and compliance narratives for proposals and final deliverables
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Change Management Lead to integrate technical and organizational findings
- Serve as liaison to CJIC leadership and IT security teams
Skills & Experience You Should Possess
- 10+ years in IT consulting, system modernization, or operational consulting for law enforcement or criminal justice systems
- Direct experience with CJIS-compliant environments and law-enforcement data systems
- Hands-on understanding of CJIS Security Policy controls (authentication, encryption, data access)
- Experience performing readiness and feasibility assessments for large-scale system rewrites or replacements
- Strong stakeholder facilitation and presentation skills
- Eligible for (or current) CJIS background clearance
Bonus Points If You Have:
- PMP, CISSP, or equivalent certifications
- Experience working with state or federal law enforcement agencies
- Familiarity with LEIN, ALIAS, or similar law enforcement systems
- Experience contributing to modernization roadmaps and compliance documentation
Education & Certifications You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Criminal Justice, or related field
- Preferred certifications: PMP, CISSP, or equivalent
