Are you ready to use your analytics expertise to drive meaningful change in public service? Trissential is hiring an Analytics Engineer to join our client. You’ll play a key role in building a Data Analytics Repository that supports accurate, timely, and actionable insights across the agency and its partners.
This is a primarily remote role. However, travel may be required based on business needs, including visits to client premises in (St. Paul, MN). Estimated travel: up to 10–20% annually.

Your Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Data Management Transformation Program by building a centralized Data Analytics Repository
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand analytics needs and deliver comprehensive reports, dashboards, and models
- Design and implement ETL processes and data pipelines for structured and unstructured data
- Develop and maintain data models and warehouse structures using tools like Snowflake and Redshift
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis using SQL and scripting languages
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices are followed
- Create visualizations and dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
- Work with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for data storage and processing
- Apply big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) to support distributed computing needs
Skills & Experience You Should Possess
- 2 - 5 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or software engineering
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing tools (Snowflake, Redshift)
- Proficiency in ETL development and data modeling
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Programming ability in R, Python, JavaScript, Scala, or C++
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and security practices
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Knowledge of big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience working with government or public sector data
- Familiarity with corrections or criminal justice data systems
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies
- Experience with data cataloging or metadata management tools
Education & Certifications You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Certifications in cloud platforms or data engineering are a plus
