Your Role & Responsibilities
- Lead current/future state analysis and support solution implementation for modernization initiatives
- Elicit and document requirements using interviews, workshops, storyboards, and analysis models
- Write clear, concise, and unambiguous requirements specifications
- Conduct data analysis, mapping, and documentation of data needs
- Create user story maps, write user stories with acceptance criteria, and manage product backlogs
- Facilitate refinement sessions, sprint planning, and discovery workshops
- Translate business requirements into system/functional specifications for developers
- Coordinate business validation and manage requirements traceability
- Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate across teams and prioritize effectively across multiple initiatives
Skills & Experience You Should Possess
- 8+ years of experience in an IT Business Analyst role
- 3+ years working on Agile product teams
- Experience with data migration, mapping, and tools like Power BI, Tableau, SQL
- Proficiency in Agile tools such as JIRA
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities
- Advanced knowledge of QA and Project Management practices
- Business Analyst Certification (IIBA certification or equivalent)
Bonus Points If You Have
- Scrum Master experience
- Experience with backlog management and story refinement
- Familiarity with public sector or modernization projects
Education & Certifications You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- PMP Certification required
- Business Analyst Certification (IIBA or equivalent) preferred
