You’ll support enhancements across the ESRI GIS ecosystem in a modern DevOps environment while collaborating with a close-knit, agile team. Your Role & Responsibilities
- Configure ESRI GIS tools and modules to meet evolving business needs
- Script and automate GIS processes using Python and Arcpy
- Design and manage spatial databases using Oracle, SQL Server, PostGIS, and Postgres
- Build maps and web applications using ArcGIS API for JavaScript and modern frameworks like React or Leaflet
- Publish services and develop enhancements within the GIS platform
- Document solutions and provide hand-offs to operational teams
- Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve GIS issues in a timely and proactive manner
Skills & Experience You Should Possess
- 5–7 years of experience in GIS development or a related role
- Deep understanding of ESRI platforms including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and associated APIs
- Proficient in Python (including Arcpy), JavaScript, and SQL
- Hands-on experience with spatial databases like PostGIS and ESRI SDE
- Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience in the utility industry (gas or electric)
- Skills in spatial analysis, remote sensing, or cartography
- Experience with data visualization and managing geospatial imagery
- GIS certification or formal training
Education & Certifications You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, or related field preferred
- Equivalent work experience considered in lieu of formal education
- GIS certifications are advantageous but not required
