Are you a seasoned Senior Agile Product Owner Coach who thrives on making meaningful change in a short timeframe? Trissential is hiring an Senior Agile Product Owner Coach to lead a strategic 13-week engagement with our client. You’ll drive assessment, coaching, and agile maturity transformation for cross-functional teams and Product Owners (POs). The Client: Has experienced Product Owner turnover and variability after shifting the PO role into the business. One to a few teams need practical help—not theoretical consulting. They need a coach who will jump in fast, work side-by-side with POs and team leads, observe what's working (and what’s not), and help improve the teams application of agility, focusing on Product/Product Owner roles.
Your Role:
- Practical Coaching: Observe team dynamics, backlog management and refinement, stakeholder engagement, and delivery.
- Clarity & Alignment: Collaborate with Product Owners and the teams to clarify roles, activities, and outputs that align to agility mindset and principles and drive real business value delivery.
- AI Awareness: Help identify and recommend Trissential Human-Centered AI accelerators that could improve flow, decision-making, and value delivery.
- Roadmap Delivery: At the end of 4 weeks, provide a baseline assessment of each team’s agile and product owner practices and a prioritized improvement plan for each team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Shadow and coach 1 to a few Product Owners and teams who are newer to their roles
- Help improve backlog practices, team collaboration, and metrics
- Evaluate the teams use of their Agile tool (Azure DevOps) and provide recommended improvements
- Help the teams identify and deliver quick-wins while improving the system and roles
Required Experience & Skills:
- Senior-level experience coaching Product Owners and agile teams
- Direct experience in product ownership — not just frameworks, but real-world team leadership
- Strong facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and backlog refinement skills
- Comfortable coaching across tools (especially Azure DevOps) and teams with mixed maturity
- This is not a classroom-style (teaching) role. You won’t be running training sessions all day.
- This is a hands-on show-them-how-it-works coaching engagement.

- Bonus: If you’ve used and/or created GenAI tools or models for use in the workplace (aka, Story and Feature drafting, data trend analysis, meeting summaries, planning for demos, creating spring goals, etc.)
